A fired East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office employee is accused of indecent behavior with a juvenile.
Denham Springs Police arrested 31-year-old Tony Shorts on Saturday.
Investigators say Shorts was sexting a 15-year-old girl in November and December as the girl stayed at hotels in Denham Springs.
The teen was reportedly being sex-trafficked.
Shorts told police he thought she was 20.
An EBRSO spokeswoman says Shorts worked in the parish prison, then in computer forensics for almost five years.
