Baton Rouge Police, East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's deputies, Louisiana State Police and federal agencies are joining forces to fight the crime wave.

Baton Rouge Police Chief Murphy Paul met with representatives of other law enforcement agencies on Monday to discuss crime-fighting strategies in the city and the parish.

Paul said his department is studying data to find the most crime-plagued parts of town, especially drug and gun crimes.

He says officers are concentrating on patrolling high-risk areas in search of high-risk individuals.
