Two utility workers are recovering after they were shocked at a job site in St. Amant.
The accident happened Wednesday afternoon as they worked on a utility line on Highway 431.
An Ascension Parish sheriff's spokesman says one worker was on the ground and the other was on a mechanical lift at the time they were shocked.
The accident knocked out the power to several hundred homes in the area.
The men were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
