East Baton Rouge Parish prosecutors aren't happy a dead serial killer's conviction is being set aside.

A state appellate court recently used a common law doctrine to not put Kenneth Gleason's conviction on his record.

Gleason was appealing a jury's guilty verdict but apparently killed himself in September.

Prosecutors say the conviction should stand because he targeted minorities in 2017.
