On Monday, a jury sentenced Kenneth Gleason to life in prison after unanimously convicting him for the murder of Donald Smart.
Gleason murdered Smart, a longtime employee of Baton Rouge's Louie Café, and was also accused of shooting up the home of a Black family and murdering Bruce Cofield, a homeless Black man.
Prosecutors said Gleason's crimes were racially motivated, and he was hunting random Black people.
