A trial date is being set for a former Livingston Parish Sheriff's deputy charged with multiple sex crimes back in 2019.
Court documents released yesterday show Dennis Perkins is now set to go on trial in May 2022.
Perkins is being held on charges including rape and producing child pornography, while his wife Cynthia is accused of serving food tainted with bodily fluids to children at Westside Junior High.
Pre-trial hearings for Perkins will begin in December, and a trial date for Mrs. Perkins is expected to be announced soon.
