The East Baton Rouge Planning Commission is saying no to plans for a 986-home subdivision in the Zachary area.
At a meeting on Monday, the Commission denied the proposal subdivision at Groom Road and Old Scenic Highway.
Several Zachary leaders spoke out against the plan, with only the applicant voicing support for the development.
Last month, the Commission approved plans for the Park at Jones Creek, with 23 townhomes along Jones Creek Road, and a 150-lot development called Eliza Gardens along Burbank Drive.
