East Baton Rouge School Superintendent Sito Narcisse says teachers should show proof of vaccination.
Narcisse addressed the School Board last night, telling them being vaccinated or, at minimum, being tested should be required for faculty as part of an educator's responsibility to protect children.
Last week, teachers returned to their schools, and students are set to return to classrooms on August 11.
The School Board did not make any decisions about vaccines or testing and has not yet put the topic on the agenda for its next meeting.
