East Baton Rouge council members are looking at a proposal to re-route money to fund more drainage improvements.

Councilmember Dwight Hudson is set to propose re-dedicating existing property taxes meant for the libraries and mosquito abatement to increase drainage maintenance funding at tonight's meeting.

Hudson said he targeted libraries and mosquitoes because both of those departments are in good shape.

If approved, the re-dedication will reduce the library's budget by 10% per year.
