Our Lady of the Lake Baton Rouge says they are temporarily halting the scheduling of new non-urgent inpatient surgeries due to COVID-19.
Officials said yesterday that the pause in surgeries will begin immediately and last for at least three weeks. Outpatient procedures that do not require an overnight stay will continue as planned.
OLOL asks patients with minor illnesses to avoid using the emergency room and instead schedule an appointment with the hospital.
