A former Baton Rouge Police Department officer fired in 2017 is back on the force with a promotion.
Officials confirmed yesterday that Michelle Patterson had been rehired under an 87-day suspension with back pay from 2017 and a promotion from officer to corporal.
Patterson was fired after filing a false report where she changed documents about marijuana she had confiscated.
After she was fired, Patterson was placed on a list of officers who are considered unreliable witnesses and will remain on that list as she rejoins the force.
