East Baton Rouge Working To Synchronize Traffic Lights Parishwide

Crews in East Baton Rouge are working to synchronize the traffic lights in the parish.

Officials say they are installing new traffic lights near busy intersections and hospitals but have been delayed to due to the weather.

According to reports, the new system will change lights for emergency response crews and will prevent lights from shutting down during a storm.

So far, 350 out of 470 traffic lights have been upgraded.
