Mayor-President Sharon Weston Broome is rolling out ideas to fix drainage throughout East Baton Rouge Parish.
Broome proposed on Wednesday that the Metro Council use over $19 million of funding from the American Rescue Plan for the projects, which include storm drain cleanout, roadside ditch cleaning, lined canal panel repairs and more.
Broome says the storm drain cleanout is pending approval from the Metro Council and is scheduled to be heard during the June 23 meeting.
