Teachers throughout the area believe that students learning in-person is safe.

A new CDC report shows that educators believe that students returning to full in-person learning is safe if the right precautions are in place.

West Baton Rouge Parish Schools Superintendent Wes Watts agreed with the new report, stating that some kids need to be in the classroom to thrive.

Brusly High Principal Walt Lemoine backed Watts' statement saying that learning in person is safe because school COVID numbers have continued to remain low.

As for East Baton Rouge and Ascension Parish schools, there's currently no plan to move all students to virtual learning.

School leaders say they will continue to make decisions on a case-by-case basis, following all health and medical guidelines.
