Baton Rouge General Hospital says they will be receiving a limited amount of COVID-19 vaccines this week.

Over the weekend, hospital officials announced that they would be getting 475 coronavirus vaccines this week after not receiving any last week.

Reneesha Ford, head of the BRG pharmacy, says she hopes that the facility will be able to vaccinate everyone who walks through their doors as there are still around 1,800 people on the waiting list to receive the vaccine.

With the number of dosages the hospital has in stock already and the new shipment on its way, officials hope to vaccinate around 1,000 people in the coming days.
