Retired BRPD Officers Return To Department To Mentor Officers

Several retired Baton Rouge Police officers will soon rejoin the department as volunteers.

The Baton Rouge Police Department says the reserve officer program will be reinstated on January 1.

According to Sergeant L'Jean McKeenly, the retired officers will be offering their experience to younger colleagues.
