A children's physician facing assault charges in an alleged racial incident is no longer associated with Our Lady of the Lake Hospital.
OLOL administrators confirmed yesterday that Dr. Shane McKinney was no longer a member of their organization.
McKinney is accused of punching a female Southern University student-athlete and shouting a racial slur at her near the LSU Lakes.
The Louisiana NAACP has since asked for a special prosecutor to look into the case.
