The Baton Rouge Police Department is investigating an incident after an LSU football player says he was violated by three white officers on Saturday.

LSU wide receiver Koy Moore tweeted he had an encounter with two white police officers in a parking garage Saturday night.

Moore claimed he was violated several times when the officers searched him and accused him of having a gun and drugs on him.

He said the officers even went as far as trying to unzip his pants during the search. Moore says the only reason the officers stopped was because he told them he was an LSU football player.

A police spokesperson says the three officers involved in the encounter have been placed on leave pending the results of the investigation.

“We appreciate Mr. Moore bringing this incident to our attention," said BRPD Chief Murphy Paul. "As in every case, we will be collecting all available evidence and conducting interviews. Accountability and transparency are critical in building trust with the community. I pledge a thorough investigation into this complaint.”
