7AM Friday: Delta Moving Toward Friday Night Landfall

Hurricane Delta continued its approach to the Louisiana coast Friday morning.

While landfall will take place in southwest Louisiana, impacts are expected to be felt throughout southeast Louisiana. Outer bands of Delta have already dumped inches of rain in parts of the Baton Rouge metro area.

A Flash Flood Watch continues through Saturday afternoon for portions of southeast Louisiana and southern Mississippi, including the following areas, in southeast Louisiana, Ascension, Assumption, East Baton Rouge, East Feliciana, Iberville, Livingston, Pointe Coupee, St. Helena, St. James, West Baton Rouge and West Feliciana. In southern Mississippi, Amite and Wilkinson.
