Hurricane Delta has made landfall on the eastern Yucatan Peninsula as a downgraded Category 2 Hurricane.
The National Hurricane Center says Delta continues to have maximum sustained winds of 110 miles an hour.
Delta is expected to continue churning towards the Gulf Coast where the storm could reach Louisiana late Friday or early Saturday.
Forecasters say the east Texas Gulf coast could see flooding and large waves.
