14-Year-Old Is First Confirmed Death From Hurricane Laura In Louisiana

Governor John Bel Edwards is confirming a death as a result of Hurricane Laura, telling MSNBC a 14-year-old girl died when a tree fell on to her house.

Edwards said he prays there aren't any more deaths, but he's mindful there may be more.

Laura is still a hurricane as it batters northern Louisiana, moving towards Arkansas.
