The LSU Tigers are moving forward with plans to play college football this year despite two major conferences postponing their seasons.

Southeastern Conference Commissioner Greg Sankey responded yesterday to the news that the Pac-12 and Big Ten Conferences had decided to postpone their seasons with the aim of playing next spring.

Sankey said he is confident in the SEC's policies to protect student-athletes, staff, and others during the pandemic.

LSU is set to begin a conference only schedule on September 26.
