East Baton Rouge Parish Schools students are being told to prepare to begin the upcoming year learning remotely.
Officials alerted faculty on Wednesday that the schools would start classes virtually on August 10 and remain under than model until at least Labor Day.
Superintendent Leslie Brown said the school system is working to make sure each student has the proper technology available to complete online courses.
Officials say they are also working on how to deliver meals to students while they learn from home.
