The summer's hottest days are here.
National Weather Service forecasters issued a heat advisory for today beginning at 9 a.m. and lasting until 10 p.m.
According to NWS, New Orleans and the north shore could feel like 106 today, while Saturday in the Big Easy could feel like 109 degrees but forecasters say Sunday could be the hottest day, with the heat wave index soaring to 115 degrees.
The NWS cautioned those who venture out this weekend to hydrate with water, wear loose-fitting clothes and take periodic breaks inside.
