Members of the East Baton Rouge School Board are threatening to launch a recall campaign against fellow member Connie Bernard.
During a press conference on Monday, several board members said that Bernard must resign, and they would begin circulating a recall petition if she refused.
Bernard drew ire last week during a public meeting on the renaming of Robert E. Lee High School, where she made insensitive comments and was caught looking at an online shopping website during a discussion on racism.
Bernard voted in favor of renaming the school and said she has no plans to resign.
