The East Baton Rouge School Board is establishing a new committee to look at the possible re-naming of Robert E. Lee High School.
During a Thursday evening vote, the group approved a resolution creating a committee that will consist of two board members, two high school students, two individuals who live near the school, and two school system employees.
The new committee is expected to submit a list of possible replacement names within the next three weeks.
The school board will then decide to choose a new name or leave it as it is.
