The East Baton Rouge Parish School Board is meeting to discuss new names for Lee High that do not have a confederate connection.
A yes vote from this Thursday's meeting means the committee will gather and recommend new names with the Superintendent present.
A no vote will mean the school board is not supporting the effort and will hinder any possible change.
The Baton Rouge Area chamber president Adam Knapp said renaming the school is the right thing to do.
