National Nurses Week 2020 is under way and hospitals around the area are celebrating those on the front lines.
Yesterday, Baton Rouge General nurses were celebrated with chocolate as hundreds of chocolate bars were passed out to hard-working people.
BRG Chief Nursing Officer Monica Nijoka says this year has been much more difficult due to the coronavirus but cites that the community has helped to make those hard days a little better.
National Nurses Week 2020 ends May 12th.
