A woman is under arrest after she allegedly stole a dog from the Krewe of Mutts parade in Baton Rouge.
Police say the missing dog, named Bonnie, was found safe on Monday afternoon in a parking lot on Government Street and has been returned to the West Feliciana Animal Humane Society for adoption.
According to the Humane Society, a potential adopter took Bonnie for a walk before the parade and then never returned.
Officials say they have arrested Veronica Theurer of Fort Worth, Texas, on a charge of dog theft.
