Health officials say there are now 11 confirmed cases of the mumps at Louisiana State University.

The school's Health Center said yesterday that all but one of the students who have shown symptoms of the virus live off-campus.

Doctors say most people who contract the mumps fully recover, but it can cause complications, including male infertility.

The LSU Health Center says they will provide free Measles, Mumps, Rubella vaccination shots to students, and it is around 90% effective in stopping the highly contagious virus.
