Gov. John Bel Edwards Takes Oath Of Office For Second Term

Runoff Election Held For Louisiana Governor

John Bel Edwards took his oath to become in Louisiana's governor for the second time this afternoon.

Hundreds of people showed up in the rain to watch him take the oath and give a nearly 30 minute long inaugural address.

He says during this tenure he's hoping to increase funding for childhood education, teacher pay and workforce development.

He also says he plans to renew his push to raise the minimum wage and provide equal pay for male and female workers in Louisiana.
