A nonprofit in the city is encouraging the community to donate school supplies and bikes to be given to local children.
Riding Your Way to Success said it will be distributing the book bags and supplies during the second week of December.
The nonprofit started in 2009 after founder Shiletta Rodney gave away two bikes to children following the death of her son.
From that moment on, Rodney felt inspired to lead a cause to give bikes to underprivileged children in the community.
