A Baton Rouge grocery store owner is behind bars after undercover detectives discovered he was laundering money.
According to police, Lou M. Chau was arrested yesterday for allegedly purchasing 'stolen' liquor and re-selling it at his store, Linda Food Mart.
Chau admitted to buying liquor 'off the streets' at half value and selling it at full price in his store.
Undercover officials say this was not an isolated incident, as Chau purchased 'stolen' liquor from undercover officers on several occasions throughout their operation that began on November 22nd.
Chau was charged with organized retail theft and money laundering.
