Louisiana lawmakers are set to announce their plans to revitalize the Baton Rouge lakes today.
Sources say the project could cost the state about $25 million, with the rest of the money coming from the Parks & Recreation in East Baton Rouge Parish and other donors.
According to local researchers, dredging and deepening the lakes could solve many issues that plague them.
The news conference is scheduled for 1 p.m. today.
