One person is in the hospital after being tossed from a boat during a wreck on Spanish Lake in Ascension Parish.
Officials say two males were on board of the boat around 5:30 p.m. yesterday when the vessel allegedly hit a stump in the water, throwing one person off the craft.
The two men were able to contact the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries for help and were brought to safety.
The man who was thrown from the boat was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries and is expected to be okay.
The official cause of the crash is still unknown.
