New findings show an LSU student who was found dead in her dorm room last month died from meningitis.
An universtity spokesperson confirmed today that the coroner's report stated 18-year-old Marakah Dennis' death on September 17th was the result of acute viral meningitis.
According to the CDC, viral meningitis is the most common type of the illness and causes swelling and inflammation to the lining of both the spinal cord and the brain.
