Louisiana State Police are launching an internal investigation after multiple cadets were injured during tactical training last week.
Officials say that the agency has temporarily halted training while the incident is investigated further.
Troopers say the incident occurred last Tuesday and began after a cadet in LSP Cadet Class 99 was found with a prohibited cell phone.
According to sources, up to ten cadets sought medical treatment for injuries that included cuts, bruises, a broken nose, and a fractured arm.
The investigation is ongoing.
