The East Feliciana Parish Sheriff's Office is releasing more information in connection to their investigation into a dog who was dragged to death by a car.
Officials said yesterday the dog had been sent to the LSU Veterinarian School for a necropsy.
Detectives say they were also able to determine the car that dragged the dog had been rented, and they were working with the rental company to identify the driver.
Authorities are hoping the results of the necropsy can help them determine if the dog had died before being dragged and if the dog had been hit by accident or was dragged on purpose.
