Dorian Strengthening To Category 3 Storm

Hurricane Dorian is now a category 3 storm after its maximum sustained winds reached 115 miles per hour.

The National Hurricane Center says that the storm is extremely dangerous and poses a significant threat to Florida and the Northwestern Bahamas.

The major hurricane has slowed down to 10 miles per hour as it moves northwest.

The NHC expects the storm to strengthen even more as it continues to travel over warm waters.

Hurricane-force winds currently extend up to 25 miles from the center of the storm.
