The second prosecutor is filing paperwork seeking the death penalty against Dakota Theriot.
Theriot is accused of killing his girlfriend, her brother and her father in Livingston Parish before traveling to Ascension Parish where he then killed his own parents in January of this year.
Prosecutors in Livingston Parish were already seeking the death penalty against Theriot, but now prosecutors in Ascension Parish are joining in.
Prosecutors say the decision to seek the death penalty was made after speaking with family members of the victims'.
