Dorian Hurricane Threat For Caribbean

Tropical Storm Dorian continued to show signs of further strengthening Monday, increasing the threat of hurricane conditions as it moves closer to the eastern Caribbean Sea.

The National Hurricane Center says Dorian could reach hurricane strength by Tuesday night, which has prompted a hurricane watch for St. Lucia and tropical storm watches for the remainder of the Windward Islands.

Dorian's path later this week could bring it over Puerto Rico and the island of Hispanola, where its possible interaction with mountainous terrain could knock it back down to a tropical storm.

By the weekend, Dorian could be making it way towards the Florida coastline as it moves through the Bahamas.
