Forecasters at the National Hurricane Center are keeping an eye on a tropical wave in the eastern Caribbean Sea.
The NHC says showers associated with the system are disorganized and limited and adds little to no development is expected over the next few days, though it could still be a rainmaker.
"This system is expected to move west-northwestward across the Caribbean Sea and the Greater Antilles during the next few days bringing locally heavy rainfall and possibly some flooding across portions of these islands," read the Monday morning tropical weather outlook.
By the weekend, the wave could find more favorable conditions for tropical development as it reaches the Florida straits or the Bahamas.
The NHC puts that chance at 20% for now.
