Teen Driver In Deadly Siegen Lane Crash Says God Told Him To Kill Himself

A teenager is under arrest after causing an accident last night that injured one person and killed another.

Louisiana State Police say the accident took place on Siegen Lane at Perkins Road just before 10 p.m.

Reports say 18-year-old Jack Jordan rear-ended a stopped vehicle at a high-rate of speed, causing 51-year-old Stephanie Payne's vehicle to burst into flames.

Payne sustained fatal injuries as a result.

Jordan allegedly told police he intentionally caused the accident because God told him to kill himself.

He said the last time he looked at his speedometer, he was going 90 miles-per-hour.

Impairment is not believed to be a factor, but toxicology samples were still collected.
