The East Baton Rouge Parish School Board is unanimously approving a $454.8 million budget for the fiscal year.
That budget includes a 3.3% cut in spending which will eliminate around 300 job positions.
The spending cuts also include less money for textbooks and transportation.
School officials say the cut jobs were either vacant or belonged to interim employees.
