Ex-LSU Student Found Guilty In Gruver Hazing Death

A former LSU student is guilty of negligent homicide in the 2017 death of freshman fraternity pledge Maxwell Gruver.

Matthew Naquin was convicted yesterday ahead of his sentencing in October.

Gruver (pictured) died following a Phi Delta Theta hazing ritual in which pledges were required to chug hard liquor if they gave wrong answers to questions about the fraternity.

Prosecutors said Naquin was primarily responsible for Gruver's death.
