Robert Williams, Who Fought To Desegregate EBR Schools, Passes Away

One of the leaders of desegregation in Baton Rouge public schools is dead.

Robert Williams died Monday in a nursing home at the age of 77.

Williams was part of a group that fought to desegregate schools in East Baton Rouge.

This was after he graduated from Southern Law and served in the Marines during Vietnam.

The local president of the NAACP said Williams was a "warrior."
