New Roads city officials say they are now looking into recovering fees from outstanding traffic tickets.
They hired American Municipal Services in order to seek out drivers who have not paid up.
Hundreds of thousands of dollars from tickets dating back to ten years at the most is said to still be unaccounted for.
AMS is said to be working off old material, so some residents may get notices even though they already paid. If that happens, residents are asked to go to city hall where the debt will be removed.
