A new mural made entirely of crochet is draping the wall of the future location of the Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge.

Stitched into the mural is a powerful message that reads "you lose a lot of time hating people."

It also has a picture of singer Marian Anderson, who was a key figure in the movement to overcome racial injustice in the mid-twentieth century.

Renee Chatelain, President/CEO of the Arts Council, says those words align with the mayor's message.
