The Coast Guard is opening a week-long public hearing today in Gonzales on last year's barge crash that shut down the Sunshine Bridge for repairs and disrupted traffic for months.
The agency is hoping to gather testimony from more than two dozen witnesses.
It'll likely be this summer before the bridge is fully repaired, and criminal charges may follow the hearing, which will start each day at 8 a.m. at the Lamar-Dixon Expo Center.
