Low-Pressure System Watched As Hurricane Season Draws Closer

We're less than a month away from the start of this year's Atlantic Hurricane season and forecasters are already watching something that could prove to be a problem for at least Florida soon.

It's a trough of low pressure located over the northwestern Bahamas that could result in locally heavy rains over portions of the Bahamas and the Florida Peninsula during the next couple of days.

At this point, it's not expected to move into the Gulf or threaten Louisiana, and has only a 20-percent chance of becoming tropical over the next few days.
